went to NYSC yesterday and planned on doing a nice shoulder and tricep workout. i was sick all day but feeling well enough to go to the gym.

i started out my workout with some overhead dumbell presses, followed by smith machine presses and then by a hammer strength machine press. i then supersetted a shoulder press cybex machine with sets without rest. i would do 15, pause a sec, do another 15, and another 15 and then another 15. i was SPENT

so i saw a class in the studio called BOOT CAMP...i decided to try it.

WOW this shit kicked my fuckin ass! started out with 40 leg lifts, supersetted with walking lunges across the room supersetted with mountain climbers supersetted with walking lunges back to the ab section, followed by more leg lifts and etc etc....then we get 12-15lb dbs for the guys (8-10 for the women) and proceed to superset shoulder press with bicep curl with side laterals and kickbacks with pushups. all 15-20 reps...i was so fuckin exhausted and couldnt even lift my armS! i felt like a puss but i pushed thru. then we ran laps, did more pushups more abs and more curls kickbacks and raises

wow after i ran to the bathroom and threw up everything i ate that day. it was one constant superset, absolutley no rest at all. damn!

yea it was physically demanding. i thought i was in decent shape man. this was so tough i was huffing and puffing. throwing up felt great. just at the end of a set, the trainer would be like 3 more...2...1....10 more! and everyone would be like screaming

it was literally like boot camp

those classes are the best! it really pushes you to the next level, and it also helps to have a good instructor to push you along when you feel like you're going to die (literally)

so is it normal when u have an extremely strenuous exercise to throw up?? it doesnt seem like a healthy thing? Cause yesterday i took a high impact aerobics class with danny and he pushed us so hard, and he stood right near me which made me work even harder. but i had to stop towards the end because i felt like i was about to throw up.

So why does this happen?

when u push your body past its "comfort zone" threshold, your body gets all thrown out of wack. throwing up after a workout is not necesarily "healthy" but its a sign of a tough ass workout.
