So i always use equal or something of the like and i am not too fond of myself for using it so much for my coffee. My co-worker told me about this stuff called Stevia - has anyone ever heard of it? She told me her Dr recommended it - it's an all natural sugar subsitute, with the benefit of being calorie-free as well. I tried it out the other day and it does taste good. if anyone knows anything about it please fill me in :) I am about to order some and say bye-bye to equal and all that other crap - not feeling the artificial nonsense in it.

why not splenda?
SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener is not sugar, it is a non-caloric alternative to sugar. It gets its sweetness from sucralose (also known as SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener), which is made from sugar so it tastes like sugar. SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener is manufactured through a patented multi-step process that starts with cane sugar and selectively replaces 3 hydrogen-oxygen groups on the sugar molecule with 3 chlorine atoms. Chlorine is present naturally in many of the foods and beverages that we eat and drink every day ranging from lettuce, mushrooms and table salt. In the case of sucralose, its addition converts sucrose to sucralose.

here's some interesting info you can try and google. researchers have found that when they give artifical sweeteners to mice that they would grow to be obese on the same diet minus the artifical sweetners the mice remained normal.
bascially ppl drinking diet sodas to lose weight are actually maintaing or gaining weight from it. :hmmm

I use Stevia or Turbinado. Both are good for you [blood sugar level(s) wise] and very sweet, so you can use very little.
That other shit is chemically made and anything in that boat has some negative affect on your body. It's like toxic!
