So I finally booked my South America trip I've been talking about for ever, I'm going Jan 17th here's what it looks like:

DAY 1: RIO DE JANEIRO
Meeting and assistance upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Rio is considered by many to be the world’s most beautiful city. Rio is woven between 20 miles of white sandy beaches trimmed by green, rolling peaks. The most beautiful and famous of these beaches are Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight at selected hotel.

DAY 2: RIO DE JANEIRO
After breakfast, morning departure crossing over the traditional residential area of Cosme Velho and disembarking at the Corcovado railroad station to take a train ride through lush forest up to statue of Christ Redeemer, which stands 38 meters high and 710 meters above the city. Return via panoramic road to the Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches.

DAY 3: RIO DE JANEIRO
Today we will have a tour to Sugar Loaf. This tour begins with a panoramic drive through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral that is a modern cone shaped building with internal diameter of 96 meters and height of 80 meters. also driving by the traditional Cinelândia square with the historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge and Corcovado hill. From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395 meters to find a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói. Afternoon at leisure.

Yeah it was kind of late but I was holding out hope I could try and talk someone into coming with me, and I wanted to see what kind of damage I was going, I still have to goto the Brazilian Consulate next week and get a tourist visa. But fuck it I've wanted to go forever, so I figure what the fuck, just do it. Just ordered a new camera 8.1 megapixels, so I'll be sure to go nuts taking photos. Btw your going to love Greece :)

South America is beautiful, and because of the exchange rate 2-1 in Brazil, 3-1 in Argentina & Peru you guys can make out great with shopping, eating out, taking tours whatever.....for ex. Asia De Cuba is one of the nicest places to eat in Buenos Aires according to Fodors & Lonely Planet and you could go there order everything topshelf and end up paying like 40-50 a person and that's the most expensive stuff. Definitely hit MichelAngelo's in BA, I wrote a blog about the part I remember, there are a few pics & the steak was awesome.

I know you guys want to do Argentina, but IMO if Marc & Vero got to Peru you guys should go with them, because Cuzco & Machu Picchu are mind blowing. It's like going to Italy, only going to Rome and saying you know it, as compared to getting into the smaller towns & countryside, just a much more feeling of being a part of the culture. I tryed to put up as many links as I could find.
