Would you ever go on a vacation alone (for anything other than business)?

My bf's sister in law used to travel alone all the time but she goes to the movies alone, so i guess she just likes her alone time :shrugger

I totally agree with u, although the past few months all my friends are either dating someone or just not into going out i guess....i can alwyas find someone to go with but my tolerance for people is short lol

in may im going to go out to vegas, and before vegas id like to hit Cali and ARZ, as of now i would possibly consider hitting up those places alone and meeting every1 in vegas (although i know a few poeple in cali, so i guess it wouldnt be alone, alone)

I want to go so many places but its so hard to get all my girlfriends together so i prefer to travel with just one other chick and if need be I would have no problem taking a vacation alone as long as my intention was to relax.

I travel alot for work also, its get lonely if you have nobody around.... Im a quick friend maker but still Id rather roll with a good buddy.... but 2-3 max for big trips, any more and then its a whole other can of worms....

although i said i would liek to go alone--i dont think i ever would, lol--im always used to going with a big group bc my friends are still my friends from hs for the most part--my last ski trip and vegas were 20+ all from the same neighborhood--i also think it's cuz we can stand each other for that long and need alot of us lol

I guess it all depends...

like a ski trip where you have a cabin, then hell yea, the more the better....

but something like backpacking a few places in europe you want 2 or 3, cause schedules are 99% of the battle, you need to hope and go every other second and the nightlife is alot easier when you dont have 20 rowdy guys....

vegas for 3 days, im bringing 15 guys easy, lol.... miami, ehhhh, more like 4 max.

all depends... but alone, i prefer to share the memories with at least one person. can i do it alone? i have many times, but i prefer not to

There's a difference between alone TIME and going alone... I do not think I would want to GO alone whatsoever. If I didnt have someone there sharing the expereince I dont think I would enjoy it as much. :giveup

I think anyone afraid of meeting people has probably never left the US except for a tropical/resort location or to visit family. If you've ever been to Europe, South America, Australia, Asia traveling is much more prevelant, with tours & hostels you're bound to meet other people.

I backpacked across Europe for a whole summer 1/2 of which I was by myself, and I just got back from 2 weeks in South America by myself, and I came back with 15 emails of people from all of the world that I would have never met otherwise. Traveling alone helps you build character, & determination, and forces you to interact with other people and dive into the local culture more because you have to. I'd say if you have the chance definitely go for it.
