Lots of people said nice things in there

2 weeks plus and still going strong.
I feel great...and apparently I look great because several people have commented to me that they see a difference...thats wasnt as important to me as the feeling great part because I reached the point where I felt GROSS, I felt as if the smoke had permanently filled my lungs and esophagus...eww...I guess you either need to have a terrible scare (healthwise) or you need to reach the point where you are totally disgusted with yourself and this nasty addiction in order to quit because I didnt ever really get there before and thats why my attempts had failed. I also had a nasty filthy smokers cough..eww..like those old ladies...no more! A couple of days after I quit that shit stopped...seriously the benefits of quitting come so quickly, just QUIT.

I wish I had never picked up that dirty lethal addiction...and I cant wait to reverse all the damage I caused to my body, thats the great thing about quitting - is that you can actually REVERSE what you have done, in time my lungs will be equivalent to those of a non-smoker and thats reason enough to quit NOW Amber :lostit

girl im on day 2 and going stong! I went for a long 1 hour walk this monring b4 work and stuck on my patch and im ready!

i was sick of smelling and constantly smoking. i smoked when i was bored, when i drank, when i watched tv, while driving, while dressing, while eating (whenever i could) , while cooking....i mean it was BAD.
and
to top it all freakin off - i too have (soon to be HAD) a nasty smokers cough :disgusted im so sick of being a smoker...im sick of getting tired from walking down the street - im sick of heaving heart palpatations and aniexty and NEEDING not WANTING to smoke.

Im DEF addicted to the nicotene. I went out and bought the patch yesterday bc i knew i couldnt do it without the help. Even if its just a mental thing - im so motivated to get my health in order.

the last thing i want is to fuckign die of any type of cancer.
and the possibility of me singin again - i have to get my stamina back and my vocal chords in tip top shape.

so WHOOOT! cograts eleni for your 2 weeks!!
im goin to chill on the drinking for a little bit too - bc i know thats a HUGE trigger for me. So is the word FRANCE apparently. I was watchign the news this morning and i heard "IN FRANCE" immediatly wanted a cig.

Nicoderm has a support website...i doubt ill need it but im going to sign up for it anyway - just to poke around should the cravings become unbearable.

:yipee

i ALREADY feeel cleaner - if that makes any sense...

GREAT JOB, LADIES!!!!

The most important part is you realized how unhealthy and unattractive smoking is! After I quit, I became disgusted with myself for ever picking up that habit, too. You'll feel even more angry or disappointed with yourself when you come to terms with the fact that smoking leads to diseases that are almost 100% preventable if you stop or 100% guaranteed if you don't.

I get excited when ppl quit. Or at least try. lol. It's a positive step. :)

Wishing you the best of luck!!

P.S. Nicorette gum helped me when I got a craving; helped with the oral fixation, too. Never tried the patch. My mother used some drug that worked.

I didnt use any replacement therapy Amber...you dont need it! If you keep replacing the cigs with something, then something will always need to be replaced...get it? lol...god forbid that relpacement becomes FOOD then ur fuqed lol...

If its 2 days, you're fine, you know how QUICKLY the nicotine escapes from your body? As soon as you put out your last cigarette the nicotene starts to escape - after 7 days your body has NO NICOTENE in it and its ALL in your head. Yeah I smoked alot out of "boredom", how fuqin STUPID - as if the cig somehow relieves any boredom :booted Oh let me slowly kill myself for no apparent reason, ugh, and pay for it thru the nose!

Anyway I am decided that I am officially a non-smoker after 3 weeks so this Monday I will celebrate my new non-smoking life :lostit

YEY!

i want to rip my eyeballs out :pretty
this is hard but i WANT TO STOP.

and i will.

thanks guys :)

the hardest thing im noticing is the triggers...i just went for a 15 min walk to take the edge off and stopped at starbucks for a iced vanil lat & the SECOND i pushed the door open my body said "YOU WANT A CIGGIE"

but my mind said "UH...NO"
:snobbish

all i know is that i HAVE to exercise to make myself tired at night bc i am so fuckign hyper right now i could run a fucking marathon. Ciggies make me not so anxious in a way but at least ill shed some weight if i keep exercising so thats good :)

and im feeling less incliend to eat "heavy" foods bc they too are a trigger for me. I had a small salad for lunch a piece of cheese and a yogurt and i didnt have a craving afterwards AT ALL. however yesterday in a freenzy for a quick dinner i had a slice of pizza and def had some sickkkkkk cravings as an aftermath. :disgusted

whew.

3 more hours till i change this patch :pullhair.

i was thining about the gum - but i dont trust myself with it....i know id over do it and it would be just like smoking for me :chuckle

id pop a piece every hour or so!

i liek the nicoderm patch bc its controlled. and i WONT smoke on it bc it seriosuly increases the chance of stroke and heart attack :agree
i aint fucking with that.
