what you mean?
i dont think its good to do anything heavy everyweek too much tax on your body and joints. heavy all the time also increases risk of injury. for me anyhow. some people are different.

yea thats what i mean. like one week ill do straight power, 1-5 reps max with heavy weight. the next week ill do rep acclimation-7-9, 10-12, 12-15 etc.
but ive gona heavy the past 2 weeks and been pulling some good nos. for myself. i might back off next week.
i do em like once or twice a month.
i don't go too heavy on em bc im new to it.. ill wait a year or so then decide.

i still dont understand how u guys are capable of deadlifting such heavy weight, im in serious pain from doing like 2 sets w just the big bar lol i do 4 sets but im dying after 2 already :giveup
mashka i do the same.. sometimes ill add up to 50 lb on it.
it's still a great workout. t hose barsa are 45 lb (@ my gym) that's not pussy weight esp if they are as long as the one sin my gym, they are olympic i believe. im not sure exactly which length im usaing i thnk it's the 7'
stabilizing that length adds to the difficulty :agree

Yesterday I did deadlifts last. I started with 135 for 12 and then 185 for 8 for a warm up. The I went up to 225 for 6, 275 for 4 and 315 for 3. I thought that was pretty good, but if you guys are talking 500 deadlift, I am no where near that.

315 is good.
personally i don't do more than 2 plates on each side, maybe up to 3 plates on a really strong day.
i am forever getting lower back problems seems like that and my hams are just so tight and i stretch alot too. just my genetic make up i guess.
my girls been doing deads and she says its great for the ass. I AGREE!! oh yes. lol.
all and all the compounds are great for your body just don't over do em you can mess up your joints and back quick fast if your going too heavy or bad form.

being the same age as me, i have noticed something although i get some pains and twinges, my strength is unreal since i hit my 30's. in all aspects of everything. muscle size too is maxing out right about now.
i feel very grounded and strong. def not as fast but still fast enough. but strength is my center right now.
what do you think?

I agree with you, I feel real strong at 32 and dont feel my age at all. I think I am a late bloomer, which is fine with me. I am definetly not as fast but who cares about that I am not an athelete anymore.
I LOVE TO DEADLIFT!!!!!
