i had Piriformis Syndrome (http://www.eorthopod.com/eorthopodV2/index.php/fuseaction/topics.detail/ID/8ecc09b02bc8eb9010a76c099e052232/TopicID/4214fc65d020761633286131e407d037/area/5) for 6 months. each and everyday, 3200mg of ibuprofen for the pain. and there was nothing that could be done for it.

lets rewind.. when i was younger i dislocated my hip.. OUCH.. recoverd from it i was young you heel so much faster then
then about 4 years ago i slipped and fell right on my right butt cheek/hip area and that is when i herniated 2 discs in my back and had damage to my sciatic nerve
so i have worked out and healed my back and dont feel anything from my sciatic nerve any more.. however my SI joint still acts up b/c its a little off.. which has caused my right hip and pelvis to be out of whack to put in easy terms.. he is an osteopath so yesterday he did some soft tissue work to try to release the muscle around those spots and i swear the area gave off so much heat it was crazy
so the impact of running and things like that has caused my to major joints in that area and muscle to become inflammed that is one scenario
it could also be simple arthritis in the spots that have prior injuries.. which they did blood work for
the worst case senario which we dont think it is and god i hope this isnt it.. he is worried that i may have lost cartilage in my hip.. which causes the head of your femur to hit into the hip socket and grind bones:wallbang

that is brutal.. often masks itself as sciatica .. sciatica never really goes away.. but usually its a tightness in your periformis and once you have worked that out.. it goes away

tell me about it. each and everyday for 6 months straight, just PAIN. sitting down hurt, standing up hurt, walking hurt. i couldn't stand for more than 5 min without immense pain. so waiting for the bus, standing on the train etc etc was brutal

Did you get that from working out? Sounds like it. Pinched nerves are very painful.
