I weighed myself this morning and looks like i dropped 2 lbs since saturday...is that even possible?
also - i quit smoking :cheer and have been eating healthier overall for the past 2 weeks.
and - how many cals do you think is in a pump chicken sanwhich on a pita with lettuce, cucumbers onions and some carrot ginger dressing
my routine thus far - walking about 2.5 miles in the morning
after work hit the gym for a half hour of lifting and 5 min stretch b4 my 10-20 mins of elliptical and 5 min stretchign again after.
is that a good routine? i need to drop some weight b4 next october :pullhair so im really trying my hardest to make a lifestyle change.
all feedback is welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you're on day 2, take it easy, lol.
careful you don't over do it. Try to pace yourself. Seems like you're doing a lot of different things. You may end up fatiguing yourself and end up not doing shit for weeks if your body breaks down from overtraining
Oh, and I trained so hard MOnday I almost puked at the gym. I don't even lift weights, lol

yea, also make sure you're eating enough to support doing all that work.
ive puked on multiple occasions after a good workout. especially on deadlifts/squats

Sounds like a great start!
The chicken w/lettuce and dressing on pita probably around 400 calories or so??
What else are you eating throughout the day?

and if the smokes and nachos you helped kill last friday at local are an indication of how your diet is gonna go, you're lucky next october is more than 15 months away :chuckle
Seriously, you don't have to go to the drastic measures you've started at. No way you can realistically keep that up for a year. Just adjust your eating habits, train maybe every other day. Just stretch on your days between workouts.

Well this is just to jumpstart my ass into gear. After i loose my first 10 lbs im going to definelty cut back a little bit :)

no more drinking :agree at least for the next month! I was drinking vodka and soda - which is hard for me bc im DEF a beer drinker (did you see my gut???) :chuckle
for breakfast ive been having (and this has been for 2 weeks now):
~ banana & bowl of cereal (kashi go lean crunch)
~ lunch either salad or sandwhich from pump
~ snack: low fat string cheese or kashi trail mix granola bar
~ dinner: lean protien and whole grain with some kinda veggie (chicken sausage/whole wheat pasta/goat cheese and usually spinach -somethign liek that)
and im trying to drink water but sometimes i cant :pullhair
so im def gunna get those crrstal light to go packs and i love seltzer so im drinkign that and no soda.

have you heard of yoga works? they have a location in westchester about 20 min from me and a location in the city....they seem to be nation wide :shrugger
i wanted to do this to help gain back the lean muscle i once had from dancing :sobbing and to help strenghten my core so my back pain is less.

I have not heard of it. The only studios I attended are in the Union Square area. If you wanna lessen your back pain, try a bikram class. The sweat will make you looser, and more flexible, which will help your back. It helped mine immeasurably

i would try to get in some egg whites or an egg in the am for breakfast instead of just cereal.
also i would do away with the string cheese and granola (the granola is usually sugar but bad ones, try eating fruit instead at this point)
sausages of anykind are full of fats and by products i would go would real lean meats instad.
everything else seems fine.
as for the routine sounds good don't over do it tho.
also don't drive yourself nuts def DON'T weigh yourself everyday youll make yourself crazy seriously. your going to fluctuate a few pounds every day its normal. slow and steady wins the race. just keep plugging away and being consistant you will see results before you know it.

Where I went, they only made you do each pose twice if it was your first time (normal is twice each pose, double the time the second set). You also get to bring a gigantic water. You'll feel results fastest from Bikram. It's like doing vinyasa in a sauna

as far as the bananas i love em too, however 2 is ok i wouldn't eat more than 2 cause they really bind you up, like your blow a blood vessel out trying to goto the bathroom. they constipate you.
for the egg in the morning, beleive it or not if you crack and egg and whipp it up like scrambled egs you can spray the bottom of a bowl with some pam, a stick it in the microwave. thats the ONLY thing i think i would ever cook in a microwave. but it beats
frying pan and cleaning. only thing is you gott whipp that bitch and maybe put a paper plate on top of the bowl cause if you leave a full yolk it will explode all over and you will be cleaning egg particles for days.
another good thing i love to do, its a little salty but it aint to bad, grab some lean turkey ground meat (buy the small packets of taco seasoning from el paso like 1 dollar cook as directed on the pack. its really easy anyone can cook these), and make turkey burritos with green sasla lo fat cheese and whole wheat burrito shells...mmmmm mmm good. matter fact i think im gonna skill them tonight!!!
and if you want to treat yourself stick a glob of non fat sour cream on top.... whooa i dance around the house when its burrito day! lolol what a sight. my girl looks at me like im a reject. hope this helps
