Since this is the :beathorse thread id just like to beat the dead horse one more time and reiterate that I think it should be an all inclusive business & current events forum because having a specific stock and real estate forum on a nightclub site just seems odd.. same way theres fashion & entertainment. i know plenty of people that are making alot more trading with non ivy degrees. i daytraded for 2 years, in addition to building my portfolio long. all i care about is those ppl who make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

higher oil prices
international tensions
housing market awful
credit crisis

most macro/micro indicators are bearish

its just a matter of how long those analysts with ivy degrees are willing to pump this market up

alot of smart money has been pulled out in the last few weeks.

if i see one more person on CNBC saying stocks on sale i'm gonna kill myself. you only have a handful of stocks with upside potential now.

wait until 09 when the credit/housing markets are fully stabilized and recovering, and then we will set up for another bull rally.

i own ameritrade, picked it up last jan right before it dropped gave out the 6 dollar per share dividend $$$, picked it up again this yr is 15 and change...waiting for merger with etrade...its bound to happen...

also own mot, stx, ge, vlo, vz, fslr, ifn & t all long term....

currently waiting for my money to come thru for gateway, since they were purchased by ACER....i love takeover targets...hence why i have stx...i picked up maxtor reallll cheap thinking this stock is peanuts in a industry rip for consoledation and then i had read in barons that maxtor was prime for takeover, picked up another shitload and viola....stx buys them out....cha chingggg lol
