finally set a closing date...

after 3 months of waiting,

i finally have my closign date for my condo in Long island city / Astoria,

I dont want to get too excited, cuase I know something will go wrong, but I am kinda hyped,

my first place I own, i am starting my life over, with all new furniture, in a brand spanking new building, first tenant in the apt,

gonna make it pimp, cant wait to decorate....

gonna be broke as a joke though, this shit is expensive,

a new constrruction, added an extra 13 k or so in closing costs, BRUTAL

How big, what building and what was the final cost if you dont mind me asking. I am either going to buy in LIC or nyc early next year. I am thinking nyc because I hate comuting from astoria. The n and the w have been rated the worst subway in nyc for the last 3 years running

By that statement, I'm assuming you wanted to own something by 30? That was exactly my goal too. I felt like 30 was the LATEST I should be a homeowner and boy did I cut it close. Closed 2 weeks before my 30th b-day. I cant believe its already been over a year for me now. Only 29 more years of payments! Woohoo! But seriously, everything everyone told me about how good it would be when I finally did own something was 100% correct.
