I have been obsessing about it since we went a few weeks ago :heart

I absolutely loved everything about it. We were (luckily) promptly seated since we were only 2, at the bar--which was awesome, bc the bar overlooks the kitchen so you get to see all of the action, even the chef stands right infront of us calling orders and serves us our food :agree

Where do i start---their pork buns are AMAZING. the pork was so tender, and the buns so airy....next time i am def not sharing the order of 2 lol..:greedy:
The other fave was their fried rice cakes, which are served with a spicy chili sauce and were sooo addicting :hungry we also shared some oysters with a fennel garnish which were so buttery, and a pork neck noodle soup, which was so yummy and comforting.

The next time we go i want to try their cheesey grits with shrimp which looked outstanding, and their fried sweetbreads.

Also---we kinda messed up and went to the Momofuku Noodle bar when we meant to go to the Momofuki Saam Bar.. lol they are an avenue and a few blocks away from eachother...and we meant to go to the Saam bar bc food and wine magazine rated one of their pork shoulder dishes as one of the best dishes of 2007...so we def have to go there :agree but im glad we messed up and hit up the noodle bar--bc it was outstanding :hungry

i just went back to the noodle bar last night with my sis---shes now hooked too!

lets def go to saam..you know you need to order the pork shoulder 6 hours before you go? lol they need to braise it for like 6-7 hours and i def want to try that dish (thats the one that they wrote up in food and wine mag) but you need a bigger group of people to tackle it :rubhands

maybe we need to set up an impromptu meet n eat for next weekend :sneaky
