not the gym stationary biking,

im buying a mountain bike this weekend, and me and my boy are going to start venturing out more,

starting with all spots in the city, and then maybe go on some trips, since he has a f 150 and we can toss them into the back,

anyone have any cool places they ride, ? in city ? long island ? anywhere

on road, off road whatever

Im gonna take mine out when the weather gets warm. Fast I know you moved in the LIC area you should bike down to the Gantries in LIC and the parks in that area. That might be my first destination.

Also Astoria Park isnt bad you can get a good workout racing each other up those grassy hills, then you can test your car-dodging abilities on 21st street.

gonna look to get outta the city also, maybe bear mtn, and shit like that,

THIS IS WHERE I BOUGHT MY SPECIALIZED GOOD PLACE AND IF YOUR MOSTLY GONNA RIDE IN CITY U DONT NEED full suspension unless your off roading more then city riding, call me when your not busy ill school u

I rock a Specialized also. I want a Kona next time. You really don't need full suspension in the city. In fact, it's kinda heavy. If you do go with full though, make sure at least the rear shock has a lock-out mechanism which will make it like a hardtail so you don't lose power transfer when riding in the city. Otherwise, everytime you push down on the pedal, the back end will flex and soak up all the energy. It makes for a hard workout.

Gantries are those large metal things by the water near the Pepsi Cola sign where all the condos are. Used to be used for transporting shipments off ships and onto trains.

please give block detail after bridge and i will do so.
haha after i get past the bridge on the path,
you can make a sharp right and continue on the path,
under the bridge into rockaway.
or go strisght a bit into rockaway and make a left..
you cross the street, & into a path to Jacob Riis park
or go straight and go where?

i usually take the left to riis park then bike
down to the middle of rockaway then come back.

instead of goin down flatbush ave towards rockaway cross flatbush ave the path continues along the belt all the way to howard beach, then make right onto crossbay blvd take cross bay alllllllllllllll thru broad channel u will hit cross bay bridge then go over bridge make right on beach channel drive i think that parallels the water to toe rockaway bridge then over that to flatbush nice big circle YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

When I lived in Long Beach (LI) I used to ride from one end of the island (Atlantic Beach) to the other (Point Lookout). I think it's 6 miles in total (one way). To break up riding in the street, I would go up on the boardwalk. (2.5 miles one way).

I'm currently looking for places to skate. :shuffle

I was the only kid into dirt bikes/racing back in the day, while everyone around me had freestyle bikes

I still have mine, 1994 GT Pro Series (I had finally saved up to get one even though I was 14 and not riding much anymore, I still got it lol), might do a restoration on it one of these days.. here's one almost like mine except I have spoke wheels instead of these spins, fat tire in front/small in back, and not these cheesy Boss handlebars:

so I did it

got a bike this weekend, i pretty sick TREK with some add ons and shit, cost me like $430 (not bad)

rode from my house (Brodway in astoria), to astoria park (wholse park), then up to the beeer garden, then up to steinway, then back down to 31st, then over to the fun factory, then to water taxi beach, then back down to broadway,

was a pretty instence ride, I was fine the whole time, till we stopped, then my body started to hurt

cant wait to ride again, it was so much fun and great way to see the neighborhood,
