HiKing, what a work out

I've been put out of commission probly til Fri. no gym for me. went to palisades park today with friends and first took an easy route, came back had lunch then decided to take the hardest route and we almost died lol took us a lil more than 4 hrs to complete it. from the top, went all the way down and took the long route up. climbed rocks, no fence to protect you from falling, jumping over streams, wow wow wow. what a freakin work out!

spring/summer is here. i urge you guys to try hiking, intense hiking. dont pussy out of the hard trails!

Got back into last summer. Ramping up the volume even more this year. It's beautiful in the woods. I've been reading some wilderness survival books by this hardcore survivalist guy. I really want to start roughing it.

i love hiking ... Mohonk mountain is probably where your talking about and that place is fckin gorgeous alot of stuff to climb there havent been there in 2 summers definitely trying to go this year

just checked out Mohonk preserve and it looks gorgeous. any other places near by ny and nj areas? i wanna do this many more times during the summer.

i'm not such an outdoorsy girl (the bugs, the prickly and poisonous plants, not a fan) but when it's so physically demanding it gets fun.

There's Breakneck ridge, but I don't suggest going there unless you've got some serious cardio under your belt. I've never hiked it, but I hear it's actually one of the top 5 trails in the US:

Those are pretty much the best spots around that I know of for hiking.

nah. I've heard of it. but I don't have a clue where it is.

There's this place in Valhalla that's pretty sick, it's on this persons property adjacent to an old rock quarry, the jump is about 50 or so feet.

its not hard to get too once you know where it is but thats the sickest place ive ever jumped form ... crystal blue waters with 30,40,50,60 ft jumps ... theres a few buildings in the water you can jump off of too .... theres a 100ft cliif on the oppostie side of the quarry that ive saw someone jump once buyt i havetn gathered the balls up to jump that one yet ... maybe this summer :chuckle
