I was just coming to post about this. I have NO IDEA what it is, but apparently two witnesses say it REALLY washed up on the shore of montauk.
Kinda looks like a sea turtle with no shell, but it has a tail! :hmmm

Its a male tortoise. Females have no tails and those are the ones you usually see on the beaches because they lay the eggs.
Did they say how large it was?

That is definitely not a dog look at its face it has a beak and a pointly lower jaw. Same as a turtle/tortoise.

it has teeth not a beak....its jaw is probably displaced.
