parmigiano reggiano is def the best... luv it and all its sharp nuttiness. The fontinella cheese has a salty sharpness and kinda reminds me of this cheese a little bit which is prob why it was luv at first site :chuckle

my friend's mother just came back like a month ago - she tried to bring back some sasizza in her suitcase, and they went thru it and found it - they told her that theres a fine, blah blah - she told them she didnt even kno she had it that she had left it on top of the suitcase and acceidentally put it in last minute - meanwhile its covered in paper at the bottom of the suitcase hahhhhhhhhhhh - i can imagine the look on the customs guy's face after hearing that story

When I went to Italy, I had to smuggle American chocolates to my grandma. I had bags & bars of chocolate in every fold of my clothes, lining the bottom of my suitcase, in the pockets. It was pure madness. My suitcase was 15 lbs lighter coming back!
My favorite cheese might be prima sala. Its a little firmer than ricotta salata, but still soft. Also manchego & buffalo mozzarella rounding out my top 3

ljasdghjklgh we have the EXACT same list - Bisquick, Blowpops, Winterfresh, toiletries hahhhhh
A few years ago my cousin went for 3 weeks with her husband, but her husband had to leave in the middle to go to work for 4 days and THEN flew back to Italy. So on his trip back to Italy, he hadn't shaven and my mom gave him a suitcase with vases and rolls of toilet paper (so they wouldnt break) for him to bring to our apartment. In Palermo he got stopped by customs and they open the bag (he has no idea what's in it) and they see vases and toilet paper. Apparently they were just like "JUST GO" and let him by because he had no idea what my mom had put in there hahhhhhhh

My aunt once spent $300 in the dollar store buying garbage to bring home....LMFAO
I swear if I could they'd make me bring McDonalds and Ice Cream too!!! LOL Last time my aunt came she gets off the plane it's 3am she's like lets go to McDonalds I want a Big Mac they don't taste the same in Italy! LMFAO
