Went here for dinner tonight with the boyfriend. I've been dying to eat at this restaurant for years. The food was definitely worth the wait, the service... attentive & top notch and the view... absolutely breathtaking (it's right underneath the BK Bridge with a clear view of South Street Seaport & the Manhattan skyline). What a beautiful and quaint restaurant.

For starters... we ordered a bottle of chianti (I almost had a heart-attack when I glanced at a $5,000 bottle of wine on the wine list lol), pellegrino & immediately following that, oven hot fresh rolls were brought out along with a small tomato soup topped with a small crustini and crumbled goat cheese. After tasting the soup, I wish they had it on the evening menu because it was absolutely delicious!

For appetizers... I ordered the Spring Salad which was topped with shaved asiago cheese and consisted of mixed lettuces, grilled asparagus, spring vegetables, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

My boyfriend ordered a special which consisted of Tuna Tartar & Grilled Japanese Yellowtail. The tuna tartar melted in your mouth. It was probably one of the best tuna tartar's I've had. I had a bite of the yellowtail which was also delicious.

For dinner... I ordered a lobster special. It consisted of a tail & claws from a de-shelled 1 1/2 lb lobster & was garnished with a citris salsa.

My boyfriend ordered the Duck breast & it was sooo tender. This dish was accompanied with white truffle honey, fennel pollen glaze, duck leg and potato croquette, organic carrots, and julienne bok choy.

For dessert... I ordered the Chocolate Marquise Brooklyn Bridge which is a chocolate mousse type of dessert that comes with a side of Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream & a chocolate Brooklyn bridge replica.

And I'm honestly unsure of what my boyfriend had for dessert because I was too busy enjoying mine :keke

It was a bit on the pricey side (around $350 for the both of us with tip), but I highly recommend you go here once in your lifetime. The ambiance makes it perfect for a special event dinner (anniversary, birthday, engagement, etc.).

He actually bought me a gift certificate in 2007 as one of my Christmas presents (because I kept telling him how I wanted to go there). We never got around to going until last weekend and the gift certificate expires in December of this year. May 20th was actually our 2 1/2 yr anniversary, (and normally we don't celebrate the 1/2 yr), but we just figured we might as well use the certificate.

It was pricey ($98pp but includes appetizer (even the specials), entree (even the specials) and dessert, but the meal, service, view & overall experience was just wonderful, so it really made it all worthwhile.
