Anyone buying CD's these days? I checked out CitiBanks rates and they were around 2.5% for an 18 month term. Sounds kinda shitty to me.

Was asking my Dad about this the other day and he was reminiscing years ago when CDs paid 6-7% returns. I guess thats why they call them the "good old days.":disgusted

it wasn't the long ago when they were even 5%... for a 9 month...

Ally Bank seems they have some great rates right now. Still around 2% though. and no penalty cd product looks good. havent read up on it though.

citibank was pushing it on me. i was figuring out the returns in my head faster than she could on a calculator :disgusted and i just dont have enough to dump in to make it worth it.

you should have took that 2k and tried to fuck with the stock market instead.

i would have taken that 2k and put it in a managed mutual fund account... and if u can add money to it monthly... you can def see somewhere like 8- 10%

I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure that was within the past 10 years they were in the 5's%
