2008? And still amend my taxes after the fact?

I've been trying to search online about whether or not its considered an energy efficient writeoff/rebate from the govt. I know Obama came out with something recently w/ purchasing energy efficient doors & windows etc.....but I'm wondering more about the 2 items I purchased in early 2008.
