you can do it all yourself, contact each bureau for a copy of your report and start sending letters, emails, etc. Some of them you can report from that credit website

you can do it all by yourself, no need to pay anyone. They have to answer each dispute within 30 days otherwise it goes in your favor.

first time I did it was when we went for a house, that is when I found multiple mistakes on my report, doing it myself I had these removed. It probably took about 10 minutes of my time. I raised my score 150 points in about 3-4 months. Then I worked the system in my favor and raised it again, I had gone from low 600 scores- hey what did I know or care about these things? I had credit cards, a car- life seemed good, but go for a house and forget that 600 score stuff.
A year later I had gotten myself up to a 780-809 scores.
Now I was buying the shop, so again I got a copy of my reports- whoa again there were mistakes, even a charge off for Sprint Cellular, someone had opened a account in my name, walked out of the store with 4 phones. Spelled my name wrong, wrong address, the whole shit- dont ask me how they can let people get away with these things but I guess they dont care they just help out the criminals. Took a single phone call to get that off. I had a single late payment on another card ( Macys ) that was a mistake, I did not realize we had 2 Macys accounts, one a store account and one a Macys Visa, I paid a payment online to the wrong one and the following month it showed I had not paid the store account. Even though they took the late payment off it showed up on my credit report- which is odd because usually it has to be like 60-90 days later.
So I had that removed as well as another late payment from HSBC bank. All I did was open a dispute, state I had made the payments on time, and it got cleared up.
Those services do nothing that you cannot do with a few minutes of your time. You used to have to write a letter and mail it in, I always did registered return receipt so you establish your timeline, but now most can be done online.
EVERYONE should get a copy of their reports and study it carefully, there is always a few points that can be found.

I agree with the other comment - also if you haven't received your own copy in a year you can always go to the website once a year and receive one from each of the CB's...inside them you can automatically tell the CB why you dispute any or all of them....keep in mind that if the company feels this is valid they can by law hold it on your report for up to 7 years...generally if it is close there should be a comment on that item that projects when the item will go away....
the website by the way is....hope this helps..I have been cleaning mine up for years and finally have it where it needs to be...good luck....https://www.annualcreditreport.com/

im in need of one.
Noone will be able to do anything for you that you cant do yourself. Forget the agency.
*Get a copy of your credit report and make sure its correct to Start.
*What you DO owe, try to pay off the little things if you can right away. Whatever you cant pay IN FULL, put yourself on a payment plan. It doesnt matter if its $25 a month, your credit report reflect that you are currently paying and that will boost you some points.
*Try to stay away from Settling, it decreases your score by 45 points, which stays on your credit for 7 years. Everything stays on your credit report for 7 years regardless, unless you have a judgement against you, in which case its on there for 10. As long as you have a judgement against you you will be denied credit no matter if you have paid everything else off. So make sure you take care of that if you have one.
*Anything over 7 years otherwise should not even be on your credit report and you can have it removed. If anyone is trying to collect something from you that is over 7 years since the day it was charged off, you can write them a letter and tell them to cease and desist from contact you. If they do it again, you can sue them for $1000 (see FDCPA Regulations)
In this economy everyone is willing to work with you as long as you pay SOMETHING basically. If your committed, you can fix your credit yourself.
