my boy lost 13k this weekend, beligerant on a 2 day bender , had a huge crowd around him making the bigest scene, he does this a few times a yr
most i ever lost in one night was $1,400. never again.
What about favorite casino? Locally, mine is Mohegan Sun, hands down. I just think it is the cleanest and has the best crowd. Overall, it would have to be one I visited in Santo Domingo.

Was down about 2000 at the Borgata and pissed off. I had 85 in red in my hand left and decided I was done. Went over to the $25 blackjack table where my friends were and turned that into $4500. I was doing really stupid shit like splitting tens when the dealers were showing a hit card and I was cleaning up, I could do no wrong. Left there and went over to the trop and continued with the wild play and won a little over $8000. That was my 2nd best run ever.
I was in Vegas and my friend wanted to learn how to play Craps. I took him downtown to Binions cause they always had a cheap table there. back in the day they used to have 100 times odds at craps. I rolled the dice for over an hour. It was hard to tell my friend that this was a once in a lifetime roll of the dice and it's never like this really. I don't even remember how much I won but let's just say it was a lot. Incredible day at the crap table. The only other roll I ever saw like that was on the Freeport casino boat. There were three people at the table and the roll was going forever. I was at the Caribbean Stud table that was right behind the crap table. I was an idiot for not going over to the crap table that day. the only reason that the roll stopped was because the boat turned around and was coming back in and they had to stop. the boat couldn't afford to pay them out of the cage on the boat.
My first time in Vegas I was a young teenager in the 80's, I was at the Golden Nugget and I was hooked.
I don't go to Casinos anymore but I love gambling.

Craps is all about combination of the dice. The reason that seven craps out is that there are more combination's on the two dice to make seven than any other number, therefore the edge goes to the casino. 6-1, 1-6, 5-2, 2-5, 4-3, 3-4 all combinations to get seven. 12 and 2 have the least number of combination's with either 6-6, 6-6 for twelve (2 combos), and 1-1, 1-1 for 2 (2 combos). As the numbers get closer to seven the number of chances to score those number increases.
Casinos are always about math. All the payouts are based on a mathematical scale as well on the craps table. I don't think that craps really has the best odds in the casino if you know how to play though. I think the casino has to many advantages on the payouts in craps.
They say that Casinos make 11% profit on the casino floor and that number does not vary over a year. No matter what, at the end of the year, the casino made 11%. The only way for a casino to make more money is to have more gambling, plain and simple.

I have only won big once, and I wasn't doing the gambling. Invested 10k with 3 other people for this guy to play baccarat. he came out with about 90k so I doubled my 10k.
I've hit some nice spins on slots, wheel of fortune slot machine FTW.
Lost about 30k one week in vegas between roulette, craps and blackjack. I still left with a smile on my face somehow. Most memorable vegas trip of my life.
This past summer, I was in vegas 5 or 6 times. Everytime I pass through the casino, I'll throw 20 bucks in a slot. I almost always leave with $100. In about an hour at a blackjack table, I brought $500, down to my last $25 and brought it back up to almost $3500. Wound up leaving with $2100. Wasted it all at XS that night.

I have too many gambling stories. Over the past couple of years I have taken up Texas Hold em to control my addiction that is . I also think growing up in the tri state increases your chances of gambling more then any other addiction cause everything is around us . If AC opens up sports gambling I might as well sleep outside Ballys . I have hit on a 5/5 texas in showboat for a couple of grand basically one hand
on 9s full of Queens
Sports gambling my biggest hit was MONEY LINE ARIZONA CARDINALS 2008 playoffs when they were a 12 point underdog to Carolina
and Carolina took a 7 to 0 lead but then everything starting going Arizona way and Jake Delhome started to throw int after int
I wont enough to buy a nice car
I hit a pick 4 recent in Santa Anita that paid 6gs .. 72$ ticket ...joeydollaz you still playing horses?
I hit on roulette for 4gs in one night..on number 0
In Vegas I hit a 7 team NFL parlay for 100 $ . ( I had to split it with my old man)

Was @ Borgota for my birthday end of January. First time in AC played drunk roullette after Mur Mur all night. Basicly didnt spend any money down there becauseof it.
I use to play poker all the time 7 Card Stud and texas hold em. Not at casinos but backroom games @ some places pretty big pots for somone who was 17 & 18 years old. I dont play anymore cause I lost more than I won doin that

Yup....craps is a fun game but you dont have the best odds at winning. BlackJack or Poker are the safest's games to play and BJ when played correct has the best odds. Poker you dont have to bet to see cards and your in control of the play thats why I say its safer then most.
My brother use to go with a friend of his to play craps and they would wait for the point to be established and bet heavy on the numbers 4,5,6,8,9,10 and only let it stay up for one roll. The only way they loose is if the person rolled a 7 on the next roll. They always made out and nicely. The workers didnt like placing all the bets and then taking them all down right after though lol.

I never had crazy crazy wins at Craps but my father one time had a table shut down back in 86 down in St.Marteens. My father won $10K that night...and that was back in 86 (I know we have a few Rockafella's on this board so that may not seem like a lot). He has crazy luck when it comes to craps though...he is the one who taught me how to play unfortunately the luck didnt pass down just the knowledge and idea of making crazy hard way and YOO bets. lol

Edit: I guess it's how you play. I just looked it up and some sites say BJ has the best odds too.

What were his reasons behind it being the best odds in the house? Maybe he was talking about best odds at making the most amount of money in the shortest amount of time? I know for sure that the odds are not in your favor with Craps and even going to a Roulette table where you can bet Black or Red, your still not getting even odds cause it could come up 0 or 00 and those are Green...House always has a edge unless you can count cards and play Black Jack or cheat and thats not worth it the risk.

Game House Edge
Craps (double odds) 0.60%
Blackjack 0.80%
Baccarat (banker) 1.17%
Baccarat (player) 1.63%
Pai Gow Poker 2.5%
Roulette (single zero) 2.7%
Three-Card Poker 3.4%
Let It Ride 3.5%
Sportsbook Betting 4.5%
Caribbean Stud Poker 5.26%
Roulette (double zero) 5.6%
Big 6 Wheel 11.1% to 24%
Keno 25%
For example, the house edge in double zero roulette is 5.6 percent. So, for every 100 credits wagered, you can expect to lose 5.60
Looking at the game chart (above and to the right), you'll notice that Craps, Blackjack, and Baccarat offer the smallest house advantage. These are the games you should focus on. Coincidentally, Craps and Blackjack are two of the most fun games to play (at least in my opinion), and this makes their study feel less like actual study and more like fun. If you already know a thing or two about blackjack, then you probably know that it is one of the only games where a skilled player can not only eliminate the house edge, but go a step further by creating a player's edge (unlikely for the average person).
craps info:
Craps is a unique casino game in that it offers over 100 different bets. If you've ever studied a craps table layout, then you probably noticed many different areas in which to place your chips. You can make bets on what number you predict will be thrown next, how that number will be created as a combination of the dice, what number or numbers won't come up next, and so on. With such a variety of bets available and the fact that a pair of dice may yield 36 different numerical combinations, it is easy to see how the odds can vary quite a bit. Some bets offer favorable odds - even better than straight blackjack - while others are not so good. So. why is it that Nevada casinos take in about $16 for every $100 wagered when the house edge is only around 1%? The truth is that most Craps players play on instinct. Sure, in a game where each roll of the dice is independent from all previous rolls, it truly is sort of a guessing game. But, guessing will only get you so far. You need to know what the payouts are for different bets, and odds of those bets to occur. Hopefully, the next time you play you will do so knowing which bets carry the best odds, and which ones to avoid altogether.
Seven (7) is the most likely outcome with a 6 in 36 probability, while snake eyes (double ones) and twelve (12) are the least likely with 1 in 36 probabilities. The house advantage is built into each number bet by the payout odds.
The best bets on the table are the pass line point bets (with odds). These bets can be placed in addition to your come or pass line bets, and offer true odds for payouts, meaning the house has no advantage over the player. Single odds means you may make an additional wager equal to your original bet. Double odds means up to two times your bet and so on up to 100 times odds, offered, possibly, at only the famous Binion's Horseshoe casino in Las Vegas.
Other bets that yield reasonably decent odds for players include the Pass Line and Don't Pass Line bets, where the house has only a 1.4% edge and less if you're playing with single or double odds. The Place Bet of 6 or 8 is also worthy of your chips because it only carries a 1.52% advantage for the casino. The payout on this bet is only 7 to 6, so you won't win a lot very quickly. I recommend sticking with the Pass Line and Come bets with odds.
The most likely outcome of the dice is 7, so you might logically deduce that this is a safe bet to make, right? Well, it's actually the worst on the table, carrying a 16.67% house edge. Why is this? Consider the number of ways to make a seven: 1+6, 2+5, 3+4, 4+3, 5+2, and 6+1. That makes six ways that the dice can combine to total seven, giving you a 6 out of 36 (or reduced to 1 in 6) probability of a 7 on the next roll. However, the casino knows this, so the payout odds have been shifted to 5 to 1, thus creating the 16.67% advantage.

That makes six ways that the dice can combine to total seven, giving you a 6 out of 36 (or reduced to 1 in 6) probability of a 7 on the next roll. However, the casino knows this, so the payout odds have been shifted to 5 to 1, thus creating the 16.67% advantage.

none of this is my personal info i gathered it online and tried to slim it down to the basic info.
I worked the come bet into my play the last two times I played Craps. It works nice IMO. And you always have to back your odds on the Pass Line IMO.

The way the COME bet works is - After the point is established you would place a COME bet and the next number to come out is your Number (kind of like having 2 point numbers). If a 7 or 11 comes out you win (if that's the next number to come out after the point). You can place a COME bet when ever you want and what ever number comes out is the number you need to win that COME bet....that's basically how it works. You can play/buy a number but the COME bet comes with a safety that if a 7 comes out before your COME bet point is established your covered and don't loose like everyone else would (expect for a Don't Pass Bet).
And how many times have you seen someone roll a number 3 or 4 times before they make the table point....if that's your COME number, your going to make out nice.
I hope you have a nice bankroll to go to Vegas with...it gets expensive real quick. If I ever go again, I am def going to make sure I have at least $500-600 for each day.

BJ has the best odds for a single player to win vs a dealer in one particular hand
Craps has the best payout when you place your odds behind the pass line and the point hits

is this a good story or a bad story thread? On my 21st bday I went to AC with $120, hit a $1 slot for 600, my friend showed me how to bet colors in roulette I'm up say 12k, betting 1k, 2k on black and red, finally lost 2k stopped, goto cash out and of course they ID me. 3 months later I go down to the Trop, 5 minutes in I put $950 on the first 1/3.......I tell me friends lets go eat before I shit away the last $20 I have.
The last time I went to Vegas we're at the Palms I made about $2500 2 hours in that shitty little poker room, later that night we goto Tao, I stumble out of there @4 or 5 go sit @ the poker room right down stairs make another $6500, so I'm up like 9k @ this point, the next night we're @ Moon, mad fucking celebs all around Paris, the Kardishans, Jon Lovitz(smashed out of his fucking skull), the black guy from scrubs, Shaq..........so the black guy from scrubs sits down @ the bj table with me, well lets just say I hemmorraged everything I won back, went home like up $250.
I had one day on Pokerstars, I can't even talk about how much I shit how fast, playing a $100 re-buy & $500 sng's. Bad Bad day.

$6,500 playing poker, how long were you playing and what kind of table was it? If I was ever up that kind of money I would have walked away and called it a day. I have never been up that much but I have been on plenty of roller coasters before and they all end the same way if you ride them long enough....

It was a $10-20 table. I'd say 6 or 7 hours, you could easily make that on a table like that but lots of clowns were coming down from Tao and pushing with stupid shit.

Just went to AC last weekend. Was up 2G at one point. Took home about $700.
I play Roulette and Let It Ride. I used to play 21 but I don't like to anymore. The other players can be real assholes at those tables.
I noticed a new poker game called Flop. Looks interesting. I like the idea of a pot.
I would love to learn how to play Craps.

yea you need 1000-1500 to sit at a table like that and be comfortable. I never played at stakes that high but I am sure you can make big money fast cause the pots prob get a few hundred in them without that much action going on.
