NCC Meet & Eat............

Would anybody be interested in meeting up one weekend night and go out to a restaurant with a group of us? JT and I would talk it over about what restaurant to go to. Maybe try and make some calls and get a special hookup or deal, and we can all go out to dinner and have drinks. Maybe even turn this into a sort of group of the people who are really into food and restaurants where we meet once a week or every other week. It will def take a little time to plan but restaurants love exposure and word of mouth advertising so I will talk to chefs about getting prix fixe menus for us or tasting menus for a lower price.

What does everyone think of this idea and who would be interested. If nobody is into this idea then I guess we won't do it but there seems to be a bunch of peeps that want to get to restaurants and check new ones out. Plus I wanna start putting these names with faces........lol.

When I graduate and get to be near the city again or in the city I am gonna try and get out 2-3 times a week. Anyone that wants to go will be more than welcome. But yea for this idea once a week may be much. I will have to see what everyone thinks.

I was thinkin more along the lines of a Hot Dog Vendor or one of those ones that serves street beef(What they call beef on a stick) as I like to call it. And then for dessert we can hit up the roasted nuts vendor................now thats what I call "Fine Dining".:chuckle

Once a month might work to start out. Then see how it goes or whatever, since I will be near the city in a few months. I hope that people are seriously interested in this idea, so we can have atleast 10-12 of us to go out.

prob with numbers is some places don't go over seating for 8, not all but i def know some that won't go over....

what about 2 tables............depending on how many people come.
we'll see what happens but we will call restaurants and see what they say and what kind of menus they can put together for us. Prix Fixe or whatever????

yup thats the fun paert but we'll def need definates for reservations like that especially if theyre hookin it up they make lock n a pre fixed weathe rpeopel show or not who knows depends on big this gets =)

Well it seems like we have enough people interested. Now JT & I will try and put something together and talk to Dmitry about it.:D
I'm glad so many of you are wanting to do this, it will be so much fun to sit around a table tasting courses and drinking wine...;)

I have been doing it for 8 years. I started cooking when I was 15. And I still ove going to restaurants and cooking or just eating.:D
