After hours - White Room @ Exit w/ Ziggy

I don't know if anyone here goes there or even cares for that matter, but just incase, The white room @ Exit is OVER -AGAIN-, hopefully this time is the last time. That party was never the same as it was two-three years ago and a sudden influx of the garbage from the main floor (hip hop crowd) definitely turned that party into even more of a garbage dump!!! Oh well...

Penny- Yea those were the good days @ the White Room. The most recent party was NOTHING compared to that with the exception of the music. Ziggy is much better of a DJ now, but the crowd and that vibe never returned. Plus it was hip hop / spanish on the main floor so the party had no chance... especially when that crowd came upstairs after the main floor closed.

Louie - No, Shawn opened a few times but that was it. Why is it that everyone always thinks Shawn or Hamburg did that party. I'm convinced that not too many people know about Ziggy.

nah I knew Ziggy was doin it... I just thought it was them two every weekend... but what do I know... I went the 1st time it re opened a few months ago... they had Shawn and Ziggy and I think Emil actually opened up for ziggy in the white room...

White room party as afterhours Saturday. Ziggy didn't go on until 3 or 4 a.m. sunday morning.

But yes Exit is pretty much hip hop / Reggae on fridays and reggaeton (sp?) on Saturday...

I know what you mean Steve. For awhile... Ziggy / Shawn / Hamburg / Mike negron played the same venues different nights... Rise and Shine @ Neva Bar, 'Go' - sunday nights, and 143 come to mind.

I'm sure Shawn has spun in Exit plenty of times but no matter who open or played, Ziggy always finished the white room out. This time around with the White Room Ziggy got himself the job and brought Stan in.... Stan didn't get the venue this time.... As a matter of fact, Adam S was the original promoter to get Ziggy in the white room 3 years ago. Shawn spun in that room before the white room as well as the white room but that party was Ziggy's to spin.

That would make him as equal a dj in the night as Ziggy or whoever played early...

Whatever happened to GO , that was the 143 party ... that spot was nice. some hulagan thought it would be funny t pull the fire alarm.......Being they didnt have there caberet at the time they got scared and couldnt do after hours any more....As we all know, sundaynights at go was useless without the after hours so we left. I got a phone call threee months later saying they got there caberet and wanted the party bak, we declined....
