This pain is often described as the worst pain a person has ever suffered even by women who have given birth. It is reported to be more painful than gun shots, surgery, broken bones, or even burns. The pain is not a result of the stone moving or tearing the ureter as a sufferer might suspect. Rather, the pain is caused by the dilating or stretching of the urinary tract being blocked by the stone when it gets stuck in the ureter. Taken from: http://www.herringlab.com

These pictures are so disgusting.

im only 24 and i had kidny stones 5 times already
i actually had passed them new years day.

i used to get them every other month or so like 2 years ago, i had to pee them out into a strainer and bring them in to be examened.
the dr said they were one the biggest stones he ever seen.
my stones were calcium stones and my dr told me stop drinking milk and once i did they went away.

they are extremly painfull and the first time i got them i fell to the floor with sharp pains and literally was paralized for like 20 min, noone was home and i couldnt even reach the phone to call for help

That's so fucked up. I know I'm sure I'm going to get one when I'm older. Do you know any of precautions I can take?

drink water i guess,
im not a DR. so i dunno
but all i do know is if you get a stone u need to scoop it out of the bowl and get it examined to find out what caused it so you dont get them again

two guys i know got urinal tract infections, from years of doing special k. they would go to the doctor, not stop doing special k, not take any other precautions, nor drink water, and developed kidney stones. drugs r stupid, just some further proof.

How can you blame this solely on drugs? The people who used the ketamine were stupid by not taking care of themselves. Your proof means shit in my book.

Renal calculi or kidney stones are predominately calcium deposits that are crystallized in the kidney when the ability of your kidneys to filter becomes impaired. The rate at which your kidneys filter blood is called the GFR. When this is low (such as cases of dehydration or hi-Na+ states), the filtration system goes amuck. Best thing to do is basically keep hydrated and keep your kidneys flushed. There is a reason why they say drink a min of 8 glasses a day. You keep the GFR consistenly high and you are less prone to allow mineral deposits such as calcium to crystallize in your kidneys.

I had kidney stones 3 years ago, the worst fuckin pain
at first I thought it was just bad cramps but then after 3 days
I knew something was seriously wrong.

It wouldnt pass thru so I had to get lazer surgery
So my doc says there are like 15 different types of stones
so when I found out why u got them, u might have to go on
some diet.. Well after 2 weeks my doctor tells me its from
me not drinking enough water !!
