do you guys like them, dunno where it came from, but a smoothie book ended up in my room, some decent stuff in there i'll post them if anyone is iterested...

YEA! Def want to see those posted! Smoothies are great. They r healthy for you, right?
def can be depending on the fat content of the yogurt and milk you use but i'll startt posting them under this thread ;)

1 1/2 cups chocolate carmel ice cream
1 sliced banana
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup espresso, cooled to room temperature
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place all the ingredient in a blender and blend untill smooth
Serves 2
Variations
p.b. jolt - substitute 2 tablespoons peanut butter for the banana and add 2 ince cubes
berry jolt - substitute 1 cup frozen raspberries or strawberries for the banana and decrease the milk to 1/2 cup
2/3 cup lemon sorbet
2 ice cubes
1/2 cup lemonade
1/4 cup citrus-flavored vodka
2 teaspoons blue curacao
Place sorbet, ice cubs, lemonade and vodka in blender and pulse just until smooth. Pour into to two frozen martini glasses. Use a spoon to dot the surface of each smoothie in several places with blue curacao. Then use a toothpick to swirl the blue curacao into spirals. Alternately, stir the blue curacao into the smoothie to create a minty green color.
1 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
1 cup mandarin orance sections, fresh or canned
1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
1 tablspoon vanilla extract
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
Serves 2
1 cup frozen or fresh peach slices, chopped
1/2 cup orange juice
3/4 cup champagne
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend just until smooth.
Serves 2
1 frozen sliced banana
1/2 cup chocolate milk
3 chocolate sandwich cookie (such as oreo), crumbled
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
Serves 2
Variations
mocha mud pie - add 1/4 cup of coffee
p.b. mud pie - add 2 tablespoons peanut butter
minty mud pie - substitue chocolate mint cookies ( such as mint milanos) for the chocolate sandwich cookies

½ cup plain yogurt (fat content your choice)
¼ cup of orange juice

For a nutrional power punch, add 1 tablspoon wheat germ or 1 to 2 teaspoons of nutrional or brewer’s yeast.
1 ½ cup frozen peach slices (from about 2 fresh peaches)
½ cup orange juice
½ cup vanilla or peach yogurt (fat content your choice)
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh grates peeled ginger
Place peaches and orange juice in a blender and pulse until a chunky mixture forms. Add the yogurt, honey and ginger and blend until smooth.
Serves 2
Variations
Peachy Protein Treat
For a nondairy smoothie with a burst of protein, substitute ½ cup chilled soft silken tofu for the yogurt and increase the honey to taste.
¾ cup frozen or fresh blackberries
¾ cup frozen or fresh blueberries
¾ cup vanilla, blueberry, or plain yogurt (fat content your choice)
½ cup grape juice
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
¼ cup milk
Place the blackberries, blueberries, and yogurt in a blender and blend until a chunky mixture forms. Add the grape juice, lemon juice, and blend. Add the milk and blend until smooth.
