I am probably posting this on the wrong board but I will try anyway, let me know if I am in the wrong spot! I am not on Atkins (don't think I have the willpower) but I am considering maybe possible trying it, what kind of snacks can you have while you are on it (that you don't have to buy from Atkins or whatever) to kill a serious sweet thooth craving? If you can please post??? thanks!!!;)

this is the right place to post this. Basically stay away from any things that has carbohydrates or sugar on the nutrition label. Letme see if I can find a list of stuff thats godo to eat. I eat cheese, wraps with whole wheat tortillas, green vegs, and stuff like that.

they have candy bars and other sweets made for atkins diets but you can't eat the real thing.
NO SUGAR dead it now i was reading atkin's book yesterday, even mentions cough syrup as something to stay away from, if your really considering doing it spend the 8$ for the book it covers a lot before you even start that you realy need to understand

That's the reason why I can't do Atkins either--a SERIOUS sweet tooth.

theres always beef jerky and pork grinds.

You cannot eat any of the Atkins indulge snacks during Induction. You have to stay away from sweets altogether for 2 weeks. I eat Sugar Free Jello or Sugar Free Popsicles. I just finished induction, and I lost 11 lbs.
im on 2nd week of induction and so far lost 10 lbs-
i have a sweet tooth too, but after the 1st 3 days i lost all cravings. you have to have your mind set and be determined!
try not to drink any coffee, it makes you crave sweets!

day 15 on south beach, i lost 12 lbs. and i even cheat twice. sunday i ate a whopper and wed night i had 2 beers and i'm still losing =) i snack on sorpressata, low fat cheeses, pickles and just keep drinking lots of water. i just finally discovered somethign to drink and i'm pumped. arizona diet green tea, i HATE all diet soda so i've been drinking strickley water. plus i like my diet green tea now. my mom does the suger free popcicles and jello. my keeps making tons of turkey soup i've been eating that, its what i',m having for lunch right now =)

actually i realized i made a mistake that was supposed ot be 12 lbs in 12 days not 15. i'm gonan stay on it as long as i can. i'll start to reintroduce some carbs in moderation, but i gonan stick with for a while and see what happens.

Don't keep all carbs out of your system for too long, I am tellin you, its not good for you. You have to intake some carbs.

I like Splenda, its better than Equal and Sweet & Low.

yeah thats what they use in arizona diet green tea which is awesome, i hate the sweet and low tase

I was actually misinformed about my info on carb intake. It is actually ok not to consume carbs, I was originally told that if you don't have carbs then your body starts breaking down the protiens and fats which is where you start losing weight and you could develop Ketone Bodies or Ketosis which isn't good for you, but I found out today that they are not related.

2 more lbs ! bring teh grand total to 14 lbs all together in less than 3 weeks. still no carbs =)

get past the first wek and its gets easier, at this point for me it really pretty easy. i can eat carbs now according ot teh book and i still havent. there are a few things i want like a slice and my thai noodle dihes i love but u can def find some real good carb free meals =)
