View Full Version : Tri-O-Plex Bars
Taste awesome!!!!
I've tried almost every flavor so far and they are all great.
They are more of a breakfast bar texture than your typical candy bar type protein bar.
They all have around 30g protein with a carb count of 38 or so. Little high in the carb department, but the taste is so worth it!Tey explain the carb count below...
Important carbohydrate note: This Smores Bar has a net carb count of 11g (sugar/starch). The remaining 27g, or non impact carbs, come from oats, oat flour, fiber, and glycerin - all of which have a negligible impact on blood sugar levels.

That sucks!
There are so many products out there that dont meet their lable claims.
How much faith do you put into these test results? Do you think that its jus random bars that may fall under label claims?
They taste sooo gooood:(

didn't a similar study surface way back when the detours/u-turns etc. etc. came out? If so and if it was validated, how do these companies get away with marketing their products with such blatantly false labeling?

I think the FDA has bigger problems than to worry about the protein content in a trio-plex bar. Im not sure about that, that is just my assumption.

The FDA obviously has bigger fish to fry, I agree. But if these few companies can get away with false labelling, who's to say many other manufacturers in the supplement industry aren't pulling a similar stunt? Its a huge industry and if a couple people can get away with selling product under false pretenses it kind of erodes your confidence in the whole system. Just a thought. I can't really presume to know too much about any of this.

Thats why the reputable companies charge an arm and a leg compared to companies you've never heard of.

stay awy from bars!!!!! i only eat them if im somewhere where i cant open a can of tuna or use a microwave to heat up pre-prepared food. many are saying that the protein in bars is INDIGESTIBLE!!! so basically you are eating a candy bar that tastes like shit, gives you diarrhea, and doesn't give you what you need. as for carbs, there are sugar alcohols in it. sugar alcohols have about half the GI of regualr sugar, which is STILL BAD. eat real food (meat, brn rice, sweet potatos, eggs, oatmeal).

I agree for the most part except being indigestable. I have never heard that. I leave them in my glove box just in case i get stuck in traffic.;)
Def. dont use for cutting though.

You also have to factor in the Trans fat that holds these bars together.

Its def true. Alot of these Bars have hidden trans fat in it.
Trans fat is in alot of things that you would never guess. Bread for example. Not all breads but most have some sort of trans fat. You will see alot of brea/bars that just came o ut now promoting that they have no trans fat.
Here is a reference about the bread:
