Omg YES lets go to LA & hook them up!

The first time i saw Man on Fire i didnt really cry except for at the end, this time I cried during the 5 secs scene, when she gave him the teddy bear with the necklace thingy, of course when he got shot & she was running, & other scenes here n there... which leads me to believe that my sentimentality has grown exponentially since I saw movies like 50 First Dates, Something's Gotta Give, & of course the Notebook (or as Carol would say, The Notepad :keke)

i thought the beginning dragged, took me to long to really get interested. If anything this reminded me of training day, where I wasn't really impressed with Denzel for a good portion and then at the end of the movie he blew me away. I like the raw vicious emotion at the end of both movies. Movie was good if your bored, but not a must see to me, just didnt pull me in quick enough, i was debating playing xbox by the time it started to get interesting.

i agree, it definitely was a movie that had to wait for the conflict to begin to start to get interesting.. i found myself anxious for her to get kidnapped already.. so the plot could start to get moving

lol yea.. basically

especially creating a movie with a title like that.. causes restlessness in the slow-moving beginning

i liked it but i did not think it was great.. i thought Ransom with Mel Gibson was a much more enthralling kidnapping movie

Really? I dunno i was pretty entertained throughout, besides the climatic conflict of the kidnapping & everything that followed, i was kept interested solely becuz of the chemistry betw Dakota & Denzel's characters... I love watching a character develop throughout the course of a movie, its a true indication of great acting... i'm particularly fond of the hard-ass-turned-softie, as what happened in this movie w Denzel, kinda like Jack Nicholsen in As Good as it Gets :heart That made the movie as good as it was aside from all the drama..

i love dakota fanning but i think the relationship between them seemed pushed and a little unnatural.. i think that part of the movie could have been developed better..
his revenge when he actually went on 'fire' seemed to develop more from his character as a past military assasin than it did from any love he had for her.. i dont know seems like a lot of people sweated the movie, i just thought it was okay.

Wish Christopher Walken had a bigger part also :giveup

i think also some of my disappointment came from having too high of an expectation since i heard so many people were into it.. if i had seen it without prior input i probably would have liked it better

yayyy :applaud

btw what i meant to say was that i would like to think it developed out of love for her...esp with scenes like when he was reading the diary & what Christopher Walken said about how she made him feel alive again...

oh & i totally agree i wish Walken had a bigger part u knoooow i :heart him mucho
