BULLET PROOF

Ok, so my gf and i finally decided to try it after passing by countless times and wondering how it was.
We got the prix fixe dinner -$55 a person for 5 courses which gets you the famous tent seating.
Sat down and thought, damn this really is romantic.
Although it does get uncomfortable after a while and personally prefer a regular seat
First course: is a couple of sesame pita's with three dif dipping options - hummus, bobbaganoush (sp?) and something else. All super tastey and very enjoyable.
APP: I had the stuffed pepper with jasmine rice, traditional spices and homemade tomato sauce - very very tastey. She had the crab cakes which were made with shrimp and scallops I believe, and those were very good as well.
After the App they serve you a leafey rabbit soup (or for those who don't care of it, a salad) the soup very good also. She got the salad and it wasn't much. a few pieces of greens served on 1/4 of pita.
MAIN COURSE: I got the stuffed tilapia with shrimp, scallops and i don't remember what else and it was fantastic!! Came with a very small scoop of cous cous on the side. She got the fillet mignon which was cooked perfectly (med rare).
Although i must admit, i would have liked them to season it with some of the traditional spices, it was basically a reg piece of fillet and the plate was bare with the exeception of a cherry tomato. At this point though, we were already busting from eating so much so it wasn't a big deal
DESSERT: A small tart sized piece of almond cake with small scoop of almond ice cream on top. thank god it was small cause i didn't think i could eat anymore but it was just enough to satisfty that sweet tooth.
ALL IN ALL: thought the food was very tastey and reccomend it for people who enjoy that type of food. Although, I'd avoid the fillet mignon for the simple reason of there's nothing special about it. Get a fillet at a steak place and order something ethnic here.
NEGATIVES: the service wasn't that great. It took a while for them to bring that first course which was obvious that it was just forgotten about.
Aalso, I noticed tables next to us were informed of some "signature cocktails" and that was never brought up by our server. (wasn't big deal cause we weren't drinking, but its the point of it all)
Lastly - and this was just a fluke. the owners son must have just graduated middle school cause there was a table of 12 screaming young brats that were having a little party - all unsupervised. Very loud, very annoying.
So much so we asked to move our table which worked out well since i was starting to get uncomfortable sitting on the floor. although they still sat us in another tent that had reg seats.
