I eat ALOT of carbs, try to eat at least 4 times a dat, protein shake, and creatine...

and I have LOST 5 lbs........................... not the result I am looking for...

and I am REALLY trying not to start with weight gainers....

I think people just respond different then other people. My friend gained about 5lbs in one week on weight gainer. I lost about 6lbs in one week on weight gainer.

I am just going to supplement a weight gainer shake before I go to bed and see what happens. I was taking 2 to 3 a day and eating and it didnt do shit.

Other wise........I will turn to the other side!

eat, eat , eat and eat.....every 3 hours at least 4-5 meals a day....sleep 8 hours a night...drink at least half your BW in ounces of water per day...

normal gains would be 1-2 lbs per week for lean muscle mass...any more and you are probably adding fat...

1-2 lbs of lean mass per week? That sounds unrealistic because lean mass takes more time than that to build, especially if you're only consuming 4 meals per day.

Instead of eating 5-6 small meals per day like recommended, maybe you should try 6 bigger meals per day, including extra shakes and as Keef said, drink at least .5oz per lb of bodyweight as well as at least 8 hours sleep per night. Creatine will definitely help, although don't expect to be cut up for the spring. You should also train heavier and throw in some eccentric sets (negatives) for some extra mass.

For example, the best way to add mass to your chest is by doing negatives once a month. This is when on the last set or two you basically have someone lift the weight for you and you lower it very slow (e.g., in a count of 10). Negatives wear the shit out of your muscles. You'll be extremely sore and gain a lot of mass, but make sure not to do more than a few sets per month.

If your looking for short term results, try juice...

either way you gotta make a long term commitment to eating right 24x7..... but going natural will take longer!

Either way is not easy....

Negatives should take anywhere from a 20 to 30 count. Super slow on the way down and as your totally fatiuging(sp) try and push it up alittle to keep it off your chest (for chest that is) and then have your spotter pull it off of you. After a few weeks of the same routine, try and mix it up alittle. Change your days for each body part and try some new exercises and even change the order in which you do your exercises.......Muscles have memory!

And if your a hard gainer you dont really have to watch what you eat. If your skinny and dont really have alot of fat, just eat somewhat clean. Make sure you eat though........I follow this but it just doesnt work.......then again I have done juice years ago and it didnt do shit either soooo. But from what I read and hear from trainers and other people who work out...eating, lifting hard and rest is key to growth.
