  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: Quick and Easy Recipes

I would really love if we had a post/sticky with contributions for quick and easy recipes. I know a lot of us work and can't devote hours in the kitchen, so I think it might be helpful if we post yummy recipes (that are also healthy and nutritious) for reference. Anyone agree? Bueller? :shuffle

  4. arrow Sticky Thread Sticky: Restaurant Ideas for Different Cities

Manhattan Chelsea La Bottega 88 Ninth Ave between 16th and 17th Sts 212-243-8400 Price Range: $$ to $$$ Especially fun in the summertime thanks to a large, airy deck, this Italian restaurant in the swanky Maritime hotel attracts an ultra hip crowd. Its flatbread pizzas garner a lot of attention, especially one with oozing cow's milk cheese and truffle oil.

  11. Brio (Downtown) in Flatiron Distict, Broadway & 21st

Had a group dinner there Saturday night. Pretty damn good Italian. Shared a bunch of appetizers including grilled octopus, fried artichoke hearts, eggplant parm type app, and mussels. Everyone was very happy with their entrees, which included a pounded veal cutlet that was the size of the plate, lol, liguini ruit di mare, rigatoni with fried eggplant and salata ricotta, sirloin steak, and a...

  12. Great Wrap...

So at work I have been making this wrap for myself quite often lately. It is really good...throw a spinach or jalapeno tortilla in a panini press to soften, chop up a piece of grilled chicken and throw it on the flat top with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Melt some provolone and pepper jack cheese on top after the peppers, onions and mushrooms soften and caramelize a little. Put that on the...

  15. Weekend Eats

Quickly - Shabu Shabu (hot pot) place in Chinatown. Food wasn't bad. The hot pot was actually pretty good. You pick a broth, then you pick meats and vegetables to put in it yourself. Also a big sauce station where you can concoct potions to flavor your hot pot any way you want. Service was pretty bad, though. Slow, and they kept forgetting stuff, brought wrong dish out once. Seemed the...

Been travelling a lot lately and extensively through Cali... I found some great food in both San Fran and San Diego but I'm looking for more recommendations in Los Angeles for my next trip. I'm also not necessarily looking for the most exquisite upscale dining, just fun food, what not to miss, etc. Gracias!...
