The Devil Wears Prada (The Movie)

seems that Anna Wintour threatened to blacklist designers who participated in the movie from Vogue

i dont know i always read the book first before i watch a movie, i want to first imagine what i read in my own way, makes it soo much more fun that way. read it, its a very fast read.

and browneyedgirl the book is not so superficial as u thought, quite the opposite it points out how superficial pple are, and how hard it is to stay ur true self because of that.

i actually hated the book. i think it made the girls who love fashion and the industry look vain and shallow, which although it can sometimes be true, is not always the case. Yes, Ana Wintour is a notorious bitch, but you cant always be susy sunshine, especially when in a position of power.

the book was an easy read... but it sucked.

after a while i felt like it was the same damn thing over and over again, ok we get it, ur boss is a cunt, u get criticized on the way u dress, u have to work really hard... cry about it whore!

i dont like that ann hathaway playign the main character, i always pictured someone more cynical, less bubble gum cutsey - i dunno

I enjoyed the book. Kept me glued until it was done about 2-3 days later. My aunt is a fashion buyer for Ralph Lauren and says Anna Wintours is a complete bitch and the book portrays her identically. Dunno.

Same thing here. It physically hurt my brain to read it....totally didn't sound like what ANYONE in ny would say/do. The way it was written just irked the shit out of me and I ALWAYS finish a book once I start it...not this one.

from the commercials, the movie looks a lil cheesey. like wintour's character was a real bitch in the book and they are making it seem more comical in the movie.

i loved the book, thought it was great. funny read
