ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER is seriously considering running for California governor after the summer release of his new movie, TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES.

The Hollywood action hero says the only thing standing in his way is if his family objects to his political move.

He explains, "When I get to that point that I say, 'I want to run,' I will have that conversation with my family and with my close friends.

He says the advice of his wife MARIA SHRIVER - a relative of America's political KENNEDY clan - will be especially significant.

He adds, "She has to give the green light and feel comfortable with it because she moved away from Washington to get away from all that kind of stuff.

"I'm not thinking about it now, but I might start thinking about after Terminator 3 is released. So much has to be done for marketing, publicity, commercial tie-ins, and the merchandising." (RGS/WNWA/KTW)

What exactly makes you qualified? If we use some of our recent "leaders" as examples, the qualifiers would include money and people in high places.

From what I understand, Arnold is politically active and a Republican.

ANYONE can and should think they can run for office ... it is America afterall.

Im not getting into his political debates because I dont feel like wasting my time on a post that I think is rediculous. I dont feel as if someone famous who has everything in the world should be in office. How the hell in the world do they know what the state wants and needs when theyre chilling in the 25 million dollar home that pay people to tie their shoes...Id rather have someone in office who knows about the real problems day in and day out rather than some shmuck whos been making movies for the past 20 years...And as far as him being dumb, watch an interview with him, like a well spoken Mike Tyson.

Just because Arnie has an accent, is an actor, and has alot of money, doesnt make him any less credible as a political figure than the next guy.
